Top ten countdown....







For all the food fanatics out there .. am back again with a favorite topic..food, glorious food..
Here is your guide to the fascinating, international cuisines.
and the top 10 cuisines from all around the globe...

1. French Cuisine

Starting with the Middle Ages that brought rich banquets to the French Revolution, where refined techniques were used, French Cuisine can be called in the 21st century “haute cuisine”. It is as popular as the poetry or French arts, a meal at a restaurant comparing to “a sort of theatre you can eat”. Pastries are a large part of French cooking. Cheese and wine are also a major part of the cuisine, being perhaps the most famous of all. The modern restaurant has its roots in French culture so restaurants are bountiful, but as for recommendation before deciding on one. In Paris alone, there are over 5,000 places to eat, with prices and menus to suit anyone’s taste


List of Famous French Food: Baguette - This is a variety of bread with a crispy crust. Baguettes form to be a major feature of French breakfast.

Blanquette de veau - This is a famous French veal dish. This contains veal meat combined with aromatic vegetables.


Chocolate Mousse - The chocolate mousse although commonly available all over the world is actually a famous French food item. This is a very delicious dessert made from egg and cream. Madeleine- The madeleine is a traditional cake of France. These are very small shaped cakes which have a shell like appearance.


Éclair - The Éclair is a long and thin shaped delicious pastry with a cream filling and loads of icing.


Choucroute garnie - The chocolate garnie consists of sausages and salted meats often combined with potatoes.


Crêpe- This is a pancake that is made from wheat flour. Bouillabaisse- The Bouillabaisse is a traditional fish stew that is prepared with different kinds of cooked fish. A variety of herbs and spices are used to add flavor to the same.


Gougère- This is a pastry that is made along with cheese. In the English language, these are known as cheese puffs.


Cassoulet- This famous French food originated in the southwest area of France. Its main ingredients are meat combined with pork skin and white beans.


Ratatouille- This is a traditional vegetable dish. The complete name remains to be ratatouille niçoise and it consists of stewed vegetables. Ratatouille is generally served as a side dish but it can be served as a complete dish in its own as well. This dish is generally prepared in the summer season with the help of fresh vegetables.


Quiche Lorraine- A quiche simply means a baked dish that consists of a combination of eggs and milk in a pastry crust. This kind of an egg pie is prepared with other ingredients as well. Tarte flambée- This dish is a speciality of the Alsatian region in France. It is made of thin bread dough which is topped with onions, bacons and some amount of fresh cream

2. Italian Cuisine

perhaps one of the oldest in the world, the Italian cuisine can be traced back to the 4th century BC. It became what is today along with the discovery of the New World, that brought potatoes, tomatoes pepper or maize on the list of ingredients. An Italian meal is structured into several sections: antipasto (the appetizer), primo (pasta or rice dish), secondo (meat course), dolce (dessert). Italy is also famous for over 400 kinds of cheese, including the famous Parmigianino Reggiano, and 300 types of sausages

1- Lasagne (The ultimate Italian pasta casserole that is loved by many around the world. This amazingly superior dish remains to be one of my favorite, if not my favorite Italian dish.)

2- Calzone (Created from a soft, yet fully risen dough and stuffed to perfection with an array of different cheeses and vegetarians and baked to a fine, golden brown, this Italian dish remains a true favorite)

3- Tiramisu (Although this amazingly immaculate dish is a dessert, it's origin comes from Italian culture.)

4- Pesto Primovera

5- Stuffed Shells
6- Pizza Margherita (Is there anyone on this planet that doesn't like pizza? This is not only one of the best Italian dishes on the planet, this is one of the best foods on the planet.)

7- Eggplant Parmesan (This amazing dish is served best with lots of mozerella and romano cheeses.)

8- Fettucine Alfredo

9- Ravioli (There is a lot to be desired about a "pasta pillow" that is filled with tons of flavor.)

10- Bruschetta

3. Chinese
Cuisine Originated in various parts of China and now spread throughout the world, Chinese cuisine is now eaten by a third of the world’s population every day. The cuisine is easy to create, economical and tasty. Most of the food is prepared in bite-sized pieces because the Chinese culture regards knives and forks as weapons. Usually, every person at the table is given a bowl of rice while the other dishes are shared by everyone at the table.

Northern CuisineThe northern part of China includes places like Beijing, the capital city of China. In the northern part of China, wheat forms an important part of the Chinese food. Thus you will find many dishes having wheat as their ingredients like pancakes, noodles, dumplings and steamed breads. Another favorite Chinese dish of the people residing in this part of the world is the Beijing Duck. Many Chinese dishes make use of the seafood like shark's fin, scallops, oysters porgy and conch.

The Cantonese Cuisine The Cantonese cuisine is known for importance given by it to the maintenance of the natural flavor, texture and color of the ingredients of the food. One major ingredient of the Cantonese cuisine is the sauce like plum sauce, oyster sauce and the shrimp paste. The Cantonese are said to have a fascination for anything that moves like snakes, weasels, dogs, cats, pangolins and the bear paws. (wonder how they do it?)

Eastern Cuisine The eastern part of China includes areas, which are fertile, and hence the eastern cuisine is enriched with the use of seafood and the vegetables. Typical Chinese food in this part comprise of the crab-roe dumplings,
Mandarin fish, deep-fried whitebait and Lion's Head meatballs. Another specialty of the eastern cuisine is the Beggar's Chicken, which is prepared by stuffing the chicken with pork, vegetables and spices and then cooking the chicken in clay
